OKBT event #2 took place on June 21st on the Tri-Lakes in the Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario. For those that dont know, the tri-lakes consisites of Pigeon, Upper Buckhoirn and Chemong lakes and is a staple on the Ontrio bass fishing tounament circuits. Know for its fishery of both smallmouth and largemouth bass the lakes did not disappoint at this event.
The weather for the day was fantastic for the 133 anglers that came out to play. Calm morning and a slight breeze as the day progressed. As fish started hitting the board it was apparent this was going to be a close fought battle. The lead would change hands through the day but it was close. 1/4″ upgrades were making a difference in the leaderboard.
As the event closed and the results were announced, it was great to see a leaderboard that was very different than what we are used to seeing. Alot of new faces placing high in the event which is great to see.
