OKBT 2025 Lake Scugog Results

Lake Scugog was the location of event #4 on the OKBT schedule. The Bog or Swamp as it is reffered to by many, is the closest Kawartha lake to the GTA and gets its fair share of fishing pressure. But this lake still produces and is getting better each year. The 116 anglers in this event proved that with some incredible catches of both smallmouth and largemouth bass.

With extreme heat for a few weeks prior to the event, one thing was for sure it was going to be a hot day on the lake. The weatherman played nice and brought us favourable conditions for the day and that allowed the anglers to access the lake at will. It didnt take long before the fish were lighting up the leaderboard. Terence Conroy started off strong and jumped up to the top of the baord. The field followed behind slowly picking up the pace and challenging him throughout the day. There were position changes going on throughout the field right up until the score tracker shut down for the last hour. Terence Conroy managed to keep his grasp on the lead and come away with his second win of the season posting a 94.75″ limit with some big smallmouth. With a 4″ upgrade from a 19.50″ largemouth at 2:29pm John Dean jumped up into second place with 90.75″. Brett Searle put on a great showing working his way to a podium spot in third place with 90.25″. Scott Edwards took home the Radioworld Big Bass Award with a tank of a 21.25″ smallmouth which was also his PB.

Congratulations go out to

Lake Scugog showed up as did all the anglers to make this another great event for the 2025 season Thanks to James and Mackenzie from Kawartha Pro Paddle for bringing out the mobile shop to the awards once again.

The chase for valuable Radioworld AOY points is getting tighter and with one event to go it will be interesting to see who makes the Classic cut.

Next event is on September 6th on Georgian Bay out of Parry Sound.

And as always thanks to all the sponsors for their continued support. It is much appreciated
