The OKBT season came to an end with the last regular trail event on Georgian Bay at Parry Sound on September 6th. 84 anglers came out to the Bay to play and try to earn a win and some valuable points for the Radioworld Angler of the Year standings.
The weather was wild all week with high winds and rain. Saturday was no different and it was looking like a repeat from our last visit here in 2023. With high winds and rain in the forecast, there was no guarantees if you could make it out to and fish the areas you selected.
The event began slowly but fish were hitting the board. As the weather came in stronger the standings were changing and limits were posted. Adam Blackmore was putting up strong numbers. Terence Conroy and John Wang were right there swapping out spots at the top. It seemed as though some anglers had found the fish and some were struggling. After the day ended and board was verified there were some changes in the last hour as usual. Adam Blackmore took home the win, in his return to the series with 96.75″. This was sweet justice for Adam who took home 2nd place the last time we were here. Second place went to Chris Wdowiak with 96.75″. although tied in length Chris lost the win by tie breaker rules with the largest bass going to Adam. Mason Barrett took home third with 96.25″. Gary Bugsy J. Jollimore captured the Radioworld Big Bass award with a beauty of a smallmouth measuring 21.00″
1st Place – Adam Blackmore – 96.75″
2nd Place – Chris Wdowiak – 96.75″
3rd Place – Mason Barrett – 96.25″
Big Bass – Gary Jollimore – 21.00″
Once all the standings were sorted and put into the Radioworld Angler of the Year sheet, we had to congratulate our repeat AOY winner Kris Totosko. Kris had another outstanding year and fought till the last event with Vincent Orlando with just a few points seperating them in the end. For his win he takes home a new Garmin LVS34/106UHD livescope system.
Our top 25 anglers were also now set from the AOY standings for the OKBT Classic to be held on Sept 20th.
Overall it was a fantastic season. Lots of returning anglers and lots of ew anglers as well. Cant wait to see what next season brings
Once again a big thank you goes out to all the sponsors of the OKBT. The step up big every year and this year was no different.
Thanks you everyone and see you in the 2026
