The OKBT Bay of Quinte event, presented by Power-Pole Total Boat Control, was the third stop for the season on the trail. The weather could not have been better for the day, especially for being on Quinte. 93 Angler decided to come out and participate on the day. With such a vast amount of water available in the Bay, launch spots and locations were going to be critical to get to and be able to fish an area and to catch bass.
The day started out with a few early fish hitting the boards as usual and then the position jockey began. A few limits were posted and a couple names appeared at the top of the board that stayed there for most of the day. Anglers were on fish and it didn’t slow down. Mike Hockey got out to a fast start with an early limit. Tyler Warner was putting up some good fish and seemed to be culling them as the day moved on. Bryan Morrow found his fish and jumped to the lead where he battled with Tyler for most of the afternoon. When it was over Bryan posted a solid limit of 88.50” to take the win. Tyler took 2nd with 86.50” and new comer Ryan Felix had 84.50” for third. A great showing for Brittney Hockey who scored 84.25” for 4th and Matt Robinson with 83.50” rounded out the top 5. Big Bass award went to Derek Mereszak with a 19.50” largemouth.

Thanks to all the anglers that came out and once again made this event a memorable one. And a big thank you goes out to our presenting sponsor Power-Pole Total Boat Control for putting up the swag for all the anglers at the awards and Micro Anchor system and spike for the draw. The lucky angler that won the Power Pole Micro Anchor, battery pack and spike was Tyler Warner.
And as always thank you to all the sponsors for making these events what they are. We appreciate the support. Also a thank you to Tim Percy Fishing for donating some of his custom hobie accesories for the event.
