August has come and gone and that means that the OKBT Swamp Donkey Challenge is done. What a great event again this year. There were some great largemouth entered and it really shows the quality of our fishery in the province.
The lead changed hands a few time in the month with Brent Lepine taking the spot and holding onto it for a while with his 21.00″ donkey anchoring his card. Not to stand by and watch the action, Matthew Heayn decided to play and put up some impressive fish himself and took the lead part way through the event. As the event drew to a close a few new faces came in with some good fish and moved up the board. John Webster and Zack Tucker both made late charges to move them up in the standings and Rob Mark showed up and posted a last day fish to keep him in the mix. When it was all over there were some pretty impressive cards. Zack and John actually tied for 4th place and to top that off they had exactly the same card. Congrats to all the participants and to the winners.

The September Full House Challenge is now under way and I ma sure that will see some great fish as well. Remember that the last OKBT trail event of the year is coming up in less that two weeks on Sept. 12th on Kashagawigamog Lake. Hope to see you all there.
