HOT, HOT, HOT was the word used to describe the weather at the OKBT Stoney Lake event on Saturday, July 20th. Despite the weather 44 anglers came out to test there skills against the smallmouth and largemouth bass on Stoney and Lovesick Lakes for the day. With the warm weather the bass were definitely not in the mood to come out and play. A lot of small, non-measurable fish were around to keep you busy but the big ones were playing hard to get. But as always, the guys figured them out and there was a battle till the end for the top spots. Thanks again to all you anglers for persevering through the heat. It was great to see a lot of new anglers come out and enjoy the day.
The final results are as follows:
1st – Michael Blumhagen – 78.00″
2nd – John Ricciardi – 76.75″
3rd – Bryan Morrow – 76.00″
4th – Paul Winkel – 74.50″
5th – Chris Visser – 73.25″
Big Bass – Richard Ofner – 19.00″
