Well that’s all folks. Hawgtober has come to an end and all I can say Is WOW! What a month it was. When the dust settled the top 15 all had over 90” and proved that it’s not only the big water that can produce great fish. Big numbers out of the gate from Michael Blumhagen hit the board and he held onto that lead for most of the month as he kept adding bigger culls to his total. But, in the last few days Darren Duffy McGuire came out to play and put up a card of 105.00”. And that total, as far as I can recall, is now the biggest 5 fish card in any month long online event that has been held in Canada.
We also had a lot of first timers this month as well and that is great to see Special mention goes out to John Webster and Andrew Cohen who battled right to the end. Also a shout out to Antoine Desrochers-Gagnon who was representing the QC in his first event.

1st Place – Darren Duffy McGuire – 105” – $530
2nd Place – Michael Blumhagen – 103” – $265
3rd Place – Rob Mark – 99.25” – $88
So with Hawgtober complete it brings a close to the 2019 OKBT season. It was a great year of live and online events and Paul Winkel and myself want to thank all of that participated in the events this year. It was a great year and it’s because of all you. Stay tuned because 2020 is right around the corner and another great OKBT season is planned with live and online challenges on the schedule.
