OKBT 2025 Schedule

okbt 2025 events

The 2025 schedule has been set and the OKBT will be holding 5 events again this year with a new body of water and some returning favorites. The first event of the year on Nipissing will be a 2-day event, and the Classic will return to close the season.

May 17/18th – Lake Nipissing –The first event is another early start to season. This year we are heading back to Nipissing, and we are making it a two-day event to start the year on the opener in Zone 11. We will be back fishing the west end of the lake from the Sturgeon River west and into West Bay and West Arm. As previous visits to Nipissing have shown, this lake produces fish and lots of them.

June 21st – Tri-Lakes – The Tri-Lakes (Pigeon, Chemong, and Upper Buckhorn) is a Kawartha staple on most bass fishing circuits in the province. Smallmouth and largemouth are in abundance in these lakes and this event will provide a challenge and great fishing for both on the Zone 17 opener.

July 19th – Bay of Quinte – This renowned world class fishery is the setting for the third event of the season. With an area stretching from Trenton to the Glenora Ferry at Adolphustown, there is more than enough water to get out there and find a great limit. July should see the smallmouth and largemouth settling into their summer patterns and should allow some big limits to be caught.

August 16th – Lake Scugog – The fourth event brings us a new venue for the OKBT. Lake Scugog, or the Bog as it is sometimes referred to is the southern most lake in the Kawarthas. With its proximity to the GTA it is a popular destination and is a regular on most bass fishing tournament trails. What Scugog is known for is shallow water and big bass. This should be an interesting event for sure

September 6th – Georgian Bay (Parry Sound) – The final event brings us to the big water of Georgian Bay once again, but this time we head north on the bay to Parry Sound. With islands, bays, and more water than you could possibly fish, the smallmouth and largemouth will be there for you to figure out and should provide some great fishing. If previous event out on Georgian Bay are a benchmark, then we are in for some big numbers in this event.

September 20th – Classic – The Classic will return for 2025 after another successful event in 2024. The lake will once again be unknown until days before event. Qualification for the event will be through final AOY standings.

2025 will remain the same as far as the formats go for the OKBT. Each event will pay out the top 10% of the field as well as Big Bass of the day. The Radioworld Angler of the Year award for 2025 will be determined from total points from the best 4 of 5 events

Stay tuned for more event information and series updates.
